Panels are used to mask cabinet bodies and recesses. They are used to finish the bottom and sides of cabinets, the corners of corner cabinets, and to fill the space between the body and the wall. The panels are available in a smooth or decorated version for selected models.
Lacquer finish: A panel made from certified MDF with a thickness of 18 mm, covered with matte varnish. On the inside, it is finished with a white laminate, while the side panels are additionally finished with a colour-varnished fragment 10 cm from the edge.
Natural veneer finish: 19 mm thick panel, made of chipboard covered on both sides with natural veneer with a thickness of approx. 1 mm. In the Stripe model, including milled stripes, the panel is made on a 19 mm thick carpentry board. Protected with a clear, matt varnish.
Stained veneer finish: 22 mm thick panel made of certified MDF, covered on both sides with oak veneer with a thickness of approx. 1 mm. Protected with dyeing oil for wood colours or matt varnish for RAL and NCS colours.
Panels masking the cabinet bottom
The panels are designed to cover the undersides of hanging cabinets. They also allow the installation of under-cabinet lighting.
Infill panels
These panels are used to mask gaps between cabinets as well as between cabinets and a wall or ceiling. They allow the kitchen furniture to be perfectly adapted to the dimensions of the room.
Side panels
The panels are designed to mask the visible bodies of the last cabinets, the side of a fridge, or high cabinets and hanging cabinets. They are also suitable as kitchen island housing.
Dividers
Smooth decorative panels are designed to be placed between cabinet bodies. Their width is 20 cm, the height can be adjusted to the build-up, and the thickness of the panel depends on the chosen collection and should be taken into account when planning the length of the kitchen line.
Corner cabinet panels
The panels are used to mask a 128 cm x 68 cm corner cabinet. The dimensions of the panel are 20 x 80 cm, two masking strips should be cut from it. For other cabinet dimensions, the panels can be customized in the configurator.
It is best to choose a panel in the standard size suggested by an IKEA consultant so that it can be cut to the required pieces on-site. As a result, you will avoid possible problems with dimensioning.

We offer panels in standard widths of 62 cm and 39 cm, which can be cut as needed. The final panel width may depend on the assembly method, unevenness of the wall, or other elements.
The width of the panel results from the sum of the depth of the cabinets and the thickness of the front.

If you decide on a panel with a frame in the Hem model, remember that cutting will require interfering with the frame. Therefore, it is best to choose a panel in the target size.

By default, the side panels in our configurator are adjusted to the height that covers the feet with a height of 8 cm. However, you can choose a custom size shorter by 8 cm, which will only cover the body, or a higher panel if the plinths are more than 8 cm high.
If your kitchen furniture ends with household appliances that do not have a cabinet (washing machine or dishwasher), it is best to choose a full-height panel on which the countertop will rest.
The largest panel available is 70 cm wide and 248 cm high.
After cutting, the edge of a panel remains unfinished. Usually, such an edge is not visible, so its aesthetics should not be a problem. However, if you wish the edge to be finished, it is worth consulting with an installer who can suggest the manner of finishing. FRØPT does not offer finishing materials.
Panels can be used to finish a kitchen island, both on the side and on the back. The largest panel width available in our configurator is 70 cm. If you need a larger piece, you should order it in multiples. When designing side and rear panels, it is worth taking into account their thickness. If the back panels are to cover the sides, add the thickness of the side panels to the cabinet lengths. If the side panels are to cover the back, take into account the thickness of the back panels and fronts in the depth of the panels.

The depth of the masking panel should take into account the depth of the cabinet and the thickness of the fronts. If you are installing side panels, plan them to be longer enough to cover the panel masking the bottom of the cabinet, or vice versa, plan a longer masking panel so that it also covers the side panels.
You can install an LED strip in the panel. In such a case, we will prepare the panel in two parts, you will place the lighting between them. In the comment for the order, enter the width that each part should have so that we can adapt the panel to your needs.
If the panel masking the bottom of the hanging cabinets is to be finished with a cuverd panel, in the comment for the order enter which side of the cabinets will be rounded. Then you will receive a masking panel with a properly rounded end.
Yes, you can construct a piece of furniture to any size, just specify the size of each of its elements. Please note that the varnished fronts are finished with white laminate on the back, while the natural and dyed veneered fronts are covered with veneer on both sides.
The varnished dividers are finished with a white laminate, with a varnish fragment 10 cm from the edge. When planning to extend the panel in relation to the cabinet line, this difference in finish must be taken into account.
